When I started my teaching adventure a few years back I came into a tornado (literally). There was papers and furniture everywhere, but the worst part was there was no easel (*GASP*😰). How do you teach kindergarten without an easel?! When the school finally found one for me this is what I got:
I was very grateful to even have one, but it wasn't very function-able. It was not magnetic, no shelves, no wheels to move it, no place to hang chart paper and the white board side was stained with previous teachers writing. So after a few years of making do, I decided to take it upon myself and get one for myself. I decided to make a DonorsChoose and see what happened. After only a few donations my project was funded and I was through the moon. After only a few short weeks my easel was delivered to the school and here is what I have now:

Hooks to hang chart paper, another white board, and that blue shelf on the bottom is to hold big books.
Doesn't this easel want to make you cry tears of joy? How glorious is this easel (although my custodian would not agree because it wasn't very easy to build with all its bells and whistles)! I almost fell to the floor when it got here. I could not be more happy with my DonorsChoose experience and I am itching to do another project. I am thinking flexible seating🤔. Has anyone else had an exciting DonorsChoose experience or any ideas what I should do for my next project? I would love to hear your stories or thoughts in the comments.
Stay Fabulous,
Ashley
